1987 KTM 250 MX Blue frame/seat and motor with white plastics in rebuilt condition. Stolen in late 2012 (Oct/Nov) from a locked garage in Leicestershire, a nice condition, rebuilt 250MX that Redline Motorcycles helped me rebuild and restore in the late 90's. Bike has a blue frame (not the more common red frame version) with rebuilt powervalve motor, new sprockets, chain, disc brakes front and rear. The rear wheel number plastics had new blue/red KTM decals on them. Blue engine covers on the rebuilt 250 powervalve engine. White power front forks, monoshock rear suspension with the red/pink anodised rear shock adjuster. The red "250 MX" stickers on the rear arm were also new. No racing numbers were on the bike. Distinguishing features include faded blue seat (with a small tear on it on the lower rear edge). The tank was faded to a light cream colour instead of the brighter white of the platics. The top screw holes on the petrol tank that the radiator fairing attaches to leak petrol (after a previous owner used screws that were too long!) and perhaps most obviously previous owner had etched a sawtooth 'teeth' design using a stanley knife blade into the top front edge of the front mudguard (like a 1940s Spitfire or Mustang fighter plane mouth design). The water pump housing also had some corrosion damage where the previous owner had left water in it. It also had a period blue 'Renthal' foam cover on the handlebars with either a white or yellow 'Renthal' logo. The middle fork spindle nut on the top of the forks was also partly damaged on one corner (ground flat). Finally, after the engine was rebuilt in the late 90's with new parts, the engine number was filed off the crankcase half. If anyone comes across the bike, or parts that are identifiable send me a message via PM.
